Asher has an adventure

This afternoon Dave and I were finishing our big task of the week- packing everything and preparing to put it into the trailer. Around 4:30pm, when we are usually winding down and getting ready to go for a swim or a walk with Asher, we were still packing away. Asher was sitting on the porch and started scooting away, through the yard and down the driveway and down the dirt road leading to the farm...

He had never scooted very far from the porch before. He kept looking back at Dave and I to see if it was okay and safe to continue, and then he would scoot some more. Dave tried to get him and turn him back in the direction of the house, but he didn't want that at all. So we grabbed our hats and Asher's walker to see where he would lead.

He was a toddler with a mission. He kept going and going, stopping occasionally to pick up a rock and put it back down.

He went down the length of the farm's southern perimeter fence, across the firebreak, and tried to push the walker up the sand dune.

He needed a bit of help so we held the walker while he scooted down the sand dune. As soon as he was able he was pointing at the walker so we gave it back and he was off again...

 Down the pebbles..

 Across the sand...

 And kept going...

 And going...

Until Asher decided it was time to play in the wet sand.

The end.

**We were surprised that Asher knew exactly where he wanted to go and exactly how to get there, but we do walk that way all the time and at that time of day. I love our awesome son! **
